RTL public ferry schedules, local ferries, and private transfer options.

RTL - Raajje Transport Link

RTL is operated by MTCC across 63 routes and 187 stations nationwide — the most affordable way to travel between islands. Book via the RTL app at rtl.mv or at Male Ferry Terminal.

How to Book RTL

  • Download the RTL app (iOS or Android)
  • Register with your passport or ID
  • Search route and select departure time
  • Pay via card or bank transfer
  • Show e-ticket at terminal gate
  • Tickets valid 30 days from purchase

Good to Know

  • Depart from Male Ferry Terminal
  • No ferries on Fridays - plan ahead
  • Book 1-2 days ahead for popular routes
  • Luggage: 1 carry-on + 1 bag up to 20 kg
  • Most vessels are air-conditioned
  • Non-refundable; changeable once up to 24 hrs before

Typical Fares

  • Short (<1 hr): MVR 15-40
  • Medium (1-2 hrs): MVR 40-80

Operating Hours

Departures mostly 6:00-9:00 AM. Returns 12:00-4:00 PM. No evening ferries. Confirm on the RTL app as schedules change.
